ABOUT the Technology

HazardGuard Safety Wire, Inc has developed an exclusive patented technology that may represent one of the single most important safety improvements in electrical wire since insulation (of tar and varnish) was first applied to bare copper wire over 150 yrs ago.

Overloads, shorts, frayed, deformed, and damaged conductors, dry-arcing, improper, corroded or loose connectors, failing splice repairs, faulty surge protectors, circuit and GFCI breakers, etc are some of the many hazardous heat-producing conditions that can be alerted the user by using HazardGuard technology. Today's thermochromic material science combined with HazardGuard's proprietary technology has progressed to where a wire's color coating can now be inexpensively, simply and predictably be used to save human lives, property damage and labor-intensive maintenance costs. (see Safety Benefits)

HazardGuard technology can be applied in the direct extrusion (or co-extrusion striping) of wire insulation and cable jackets. It can also be printed or inked-on, applied as a label or sprayed-on as a retro-fitted application. Nearly any color (cold and hot) or any temperature trigger point can be used. And the color-changing material can be reversible or irreversible. It is possible to combine on the same wire or cable mixtures of any of the mentioned variables to address unique needs of the industry application. (see Applications)

ABOUT the Management & Company

For nearly 10 years, founder, inventor and CTO of HazardGuard, John Ryeczek, has endeavored to patent and improve upon the technology of HazardGuard out of his Point Marion, PA workshop. John continues to conduct HazardGuard R&D. HazardGuard's new CEO and largest investor, Walt Ogrodnik, comes from a 17 yr career of executive management (at an INC 500 company) in addition to working nearly 8 yrs overseas in international development. For 3 yrs prior to working with HazardGuard, Walt was the founder and president of a business consulting and financing company.
